Present- Alec Smith---Grace Gibson---Agnes Wight---Laura Barrie--- Jennie Agnew--- Bill Agnew---Helen Middleton--- Michael Dickie Apologies from Sue Coulthard Minutes of last meeting- The minutes of previous meeting was proposed by Grace and seconded by Laura Matters arising- None Treasurers report (Fun Day)- The management committee has an amount of г1562 57p in their account and the lunch club has г2669 96p in theirs, this gives a grand total of г4232 53p in the bank. The levy amount of г716 92p has still to come off the management committee total. We cancelled the Fun day because of bad weather, however managed to hold it the following Tuesday which everyone enjoyed Councillors report- Michael attended a talk on flood prevention which was helpful to people that had been affected. Also discussed the road salting of which a review will be made for the future The Health board meetings regarding our local hospitals are postponed until March, all the doctors are supportive of trying to keep them There is now money available to put up the proposed road calming signs in Lochmaben We were told that the police and fire budget has been cut. C.E.W.R.--- Not available Correspondence---A letter was received regarding УTai-chi for healthФ and a reply will be sent out regarding funding Lunch club---We held our Christmas party on 17th. December with a large number of members taking part, a three course lunch was served along with many treats. All members brought a small gift which was raffled so that everyone received a parcel to take home They also received a box of sweets each, which were bought with a donation from the Sherry family, to whom a thank-you is extended. Agnes read out the many Christmas cards sent from members and friends of the club, then wished everyone seasons greetings. Dorah Mundell called for a vote of thanks to all who had made the day a success. Due to bad weather the Lunch club has been unable to take place so far, but hope to resume this week. Agnes Wight Friendship group- The group had to postpone their annual lunch at the Dinwoodie Hotel on 13th. January because of the bad weather, this will take place at a later date. The next meeting to be held in the portacabin is on 3rd. February and will be a УBring and BuyФ sale Grace Gibson Health and safety- Providing a set of keys for the cleaner came up, also the cleanliness of the portacabin, Helen is going to get in touch with Sue Coulthard.
