Lochmaben Bells ring in Olympics

People of all ages gathered at the church at 8.12 am on Thursday 27 July to "ring in" the Olympic Games which start this evening in London

Lochmaben joined bell ringers from all over the country at 8.12 am to celebrate the opening of the Olympic Games in London. All sizes of bells were rung to join the peels of the 14 Century Bruce and Pope Bells in the Church, the oldest continuously rung bells in Scotland.
