More international success for local curlers

Curlers from Lochmaben and Lockerbie gained medals at the recent World Curling Championships.

In Swift Current, Canada the Scottish Women's Curling Team gained the Silver Medal. Congratulations to Lockerbie's Lorna Vevers and to the team's coach, Nancy Murdoch who lives in Lochmaben.

The men playing in Cortina, Italy gained a Bronze Medal. Congratulations to former pupil of Lochmaben Primary and Lockerbie Academy, Craig Wilson who played second and David Murdoch, playing as 5th man, former World Champion.
