Come and see the Castle Loch Sculptures

Have you seen the wooden sculptures at the Bowling Green Car Park and the Castle Loch woodland path?

Eight wooden carvings are featured on the Castle Loch woodland walk from the Bowling Green Car Park. They will be fitted with a brass plate with information on each animal that can be "rubbed" with paper and a crayon. Five times Scottish Chainsaw Carving Champion, Peter Bowsher from Moffat developed the sculptures for the walk and will be carving a bench from a fallen tree later as well as a Robert the Bruce statue at the castle. The sculptures were funded by Sulwath Connections with help from the Heritage Lottery and FCS Woods In Around Towns.
