Well done, Gala Committee 2008
Despite indifferent weathet the 2008 Gala Committee under the chairmanship of Jimmy Lennox put on a week long programme of events for everyone to enjoy. Thanks are due to Jimmy, Danny Corrie, Vera Thorburn, Mary Irving, Alec Smith, Noel Lennox, William Irving and Yvonne McBride for organising the events with the help of many volunteers such as Kenny Galloway who organised the 5-a-side football tournament and Alan and his helpers in the shop.Thanks also to Miss Lochmaben, Katherine Black and her attendants, Dana McGarrity and Natasha Watson for carrying out their duties in an exemplary way. The committee are grateful to all the sponsors and advertisers in the Gazette for their continued support.
