Family Activity Day a great success

The Easter event at Castle Loch Local Nature Reserve on Tuesday 8th April, a Family Activity Day was a great success and well supported by the local children. A variety of activities were on offer:
- Adventure trail around the Castle Loch
- Animalteering trail for the younger ones
- Build a bird box either for the Nature Reserve or to put in your own garden
- Learn more about the Sulwath Connections project happening at the nature reserve.

We hope that the youngsters, parents and friends who attended the event will continue to show an interest in developing the Castle Wood for the benefit of the local community and visitors. If you would like to join the Volunteer Group who are hoping to coordinate efforts to look after the woodland area, please contact David Rose--810010.

Many thanks to Tom Henry, the Castle Loch ranger, for organising the event and to all those who turned up to help him.
